Reel Beauty, Inc. workshops will be held in the inner-city communities such as Roseland, Englewood, South Shore and other surrounding communities as well as park districts to target at-risk girls between the ages of 11-18.

On three consecutive Saturdays, we will manage seminars for two hours. After all three workshops have been completed each girl will qualify for the fourth workshop, a “Day of Beauty”. All workshops are activity based.

Priceless Pearl
This workshop is to assist teenage girls to build their self esteem and self-confidence. We will have introduction of all RBI consultants and girls. Each girl will have name tags. At this time each consultant and girl will give a quality that describes them and tell what insecurity one has. Journals will be distributed to the girls and will be used at each workshop to write entries about their feelings.

Diamonds in the Ruff
This workshop is to help teenage girls to discover their self-worth. Looking at themselves in a mirror we will ask them, “what do you see?” This will lead to an activity called “Getting to Know You”. The girls will talk about what or who made them feel rejected and express situations or personal experiences of not being accepted and how it made them feel inside.

Heart II Heart
This workshop teaches teenage girls to cultivate healthy relationships and how it relates to their life. The girls will be given four situations/scenarios to role-play. In addition, this workshop will teach them how to be assertive in building their self confidence.

Day of Beauty
This workshop is an appreciation day. All girls will be transported to a photographer studio for a mini photo shoot with a team of beauty professionals (celebrity make-up artists and hair) that will execute their talents based on each girl’s individual style. RBI t-shirts will be distributed to the girls (required attire with denim jeans). As a prerequisite for this workshop, all previous workshops must first be completed.
