Executive Director at Reel Beauty
Yolander Rivers
Yolander Rivers is a native of Chicago, Illinois, and serves as the Executive Director of Reel Beauty, Inc. (RBI). She is a visionary, mission-driven leader dedicated to empowering girls locally and globally through transformative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) programming. In her role, Yolander provides strategic direction, program oversight, and organizational leadership to ensure that at-risk girls have access to education, mentorship, and opportunities that foster confidence, creativity, and long-term success. She oversees program development, fundraising, and advocacy efforts, ensuring sustainable growth and measurable outcomes.
With a deep commitment to equity and community impact, Yolander cultivates partnerships with schools, community organizations, and international collaborators to expand access to resources and opportunities. Since adolescence, she has had a strong affinity for ensuring youth in her community—especially young Black girls—are seen, valued, and supported. For more than two decades, she has served as a dedicated consultant, role model, and public figure, inspiring girls through compassionate leadership and innovation to discover their voices, develop critical skills, and envision limitless possibilities for their futures.
Yolander earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Alabama State University and a Master’s degree in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is currently employed by the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Department of Pediatrics. In addition, she is a certified yoga instructor and the CEO and Founder of YoSoul Yoga, LLC. Through her passion for yoga, Yolander creates spaces where girls can connect their mind, body, and spirit—further strengthening their confidence and self-awareness.
Yolander’s involvement with RBI represents the full expression of her talents, skills, and dedication. As a result, generations of young Black girls are equipped with the tools they need to navigate life with confidence, purpose, and resilience.
Mrs. Saundra D. Jones
Mrs. Saundra D. Jones is a retired principal of West Park Academy of Fine Arts & Technology in Chicago, Illinois and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
Lester Coney
Lester Coney is Executive Vice President, Office of the chairman for Mesirow Financial. Mr. Coney is a prominent leader in Chicago’s business and non-profit community.
Ms. Patricia McCreary
Ms. Patricia McCreary is Director of Grants Management for Dorothy Brown; Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Ms. McCreary is a member of the Chicago Community Loan Fund Board and professional women’s network board.
Mrs. Juanita Jordan
Mrs. Juanita Jordan was born and raised in Chicago. Mrs. Jordan has served on numerous boards and is currently President of Vanoy Jordan Enterprises, LLC.
Dr. Jesse Wardlow
Dr. Jesse Wardlow is an Ear Nose and Throat surgeon who supports positive organizations in our community. He is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Congo Square Theatre.
